Lighting Installation & LED Upgrades

Lower your energy bills with modern, energy-efficient lighting that is laid out properly.

Lighting Installation & LED Upgrades

Lighting is the difference between a room that feels warm and one that feels flat. We replace dated fixtures with modern LED lighting, lay out pot lights so the room is evenly lit instead of blotchy, and wire dimmers and smart controls that behave the way you expect. The result lasts longer, draws a fraction of the power, and looks deliberately designed rather than thrown in. Lighting upgrades pair naturally with a renovation, so we often handle them as part of a larger project.

Often paired with residential electrical, rewiring & renovations, and panel upgrades. We coordinate the whole job under a single permit when it makes sense.

FAQ

Lighting & Pot Lights: questions we hear most.

Real answers from a licensed electrician. If you don’t see yours, call us and we’ll work through it.

01How many pot lights do I need per room?
A reasonable rule of thumb is one 4-inch LED pot light for every 16 to 25 square feet, but the right number depends on ceiling height, paint colour, and how the room is used. We lay it out before installing so the room is evenly lit corner to corner.
02Can you retrofit pot lights into a finished ceiling?
Yes. We use small access cuts and fish wiring through the joists with minimal damage. Drywall patches are kept tight and small so your painter can finish them quickly.
03Are LED pot lights worth it over halogen?
Yes. LEDs draw a fraction of the wattage, last 25,000 hours or more, and run cool, so the surrounding insulation and drywall are not stressed. The hydro savings usually offset the upgrade within a few years.
04Do you install smart switches and dimmers?
Yes. We install smart switches, three-way and four-way circuits, dimmers, and outdoor photocell or smart-controlled landscape lighting.
