Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair

Skilled diagnosis of a wide range of electrical issues, fixed properly the first time.

Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair

Electrical problems rarely announce themselves clearly. A dead outlet, a breaker that keeps tripping, or lights that flicker can all trace back to very different causes. We use proper diagnostic techniques to isolate the real problem, whether it is a loose connection, an overloaded circuit, a failing breaker, or a fault hidden in the wall, then repair it so it stays fixed. If the problem turns out to be a panel at the end of its life, we will tell you honestly rather than patching around it.

Often paired with residential electrical, panel upgrades, and 24/7 emergency service. We coordinate the whole job under a single permit when it makes sense.

FAQ

Troubleshooting & Repair: questions we hear most.

Real answers from a licensed electrician. If you don’t see yours, call us and we’ll work through it.

01Why does my breaker keep tripping?
Repeat tripping usually comes down to an overloaded circuit, a failing breaker, or a fault somewhere on the circuit. We test to find which it is, then repair the cause rather than just resetting the breaker.
02Half of my house lost power but the main breaker is on. What is wrong?
Partial power loss that does not come back on a reset often points to a failing connection, a tripped device upstream, or a problem at the panel or service. This is worth diagnosing promptly, since some causes can be a fire risk.
03My lights flicker when appliances turn on. Is that dangerous?
Sometimes. Minor flicker can be a large motor load starting, but persistent flickering or dimming can indicate a loose connection or an overloaded service, both of which should be inspected.
04Can you fix work another electrician did wrong?
Yes. We regularly correct improper or unsafe previous work, bring it up to code, and document it. We will walk you through what was wrong and what we changed.
